Effectiveness

The machine is effective in resolving the problems of replacement of old railway sections in underground, increase train traffic safety. It is enables you to increase labor productivity in the following sectors:

Ecology

During night shifts in underground there are emission fumes from locomotives equipped with petrol or diesel engines. Using the machine will allow to replace such a trains and reduce pollution inside tunnels.

Recent disaster in Alp tunnel caused by 20 liter fuel canister demonstrates danger of usage petrol/diesel fuel transport underground

Mechanization and reducing of manual labor

The machine mechanizes and reduces manual labor in following major fields:

  • Replacement of switches.

Cost-effectiveness

The replacement of switches by whole part enables to carry all major works to assemble switches during daytime at special site/stand.

For example, taking recent practice of Moscow Underground, one technician is replacing 1.2 meters of switching beams per a shift working in a tunnel. Bearing in mind, that whole beam length on a 1/9 type switch is 250 meters, it needs 280 technician shifts for replacement. Replacement of metal parts of the switch requires another 40 shifts. Total: 248 shifts.

Same job can be done in 68 shifts when using the machine. So we are saving 180 shifts per one switch replacement. Moscow Underground recently replacing 20 switches per year.
